The impact of AI on my work

A portrait of you.

AI in My Workflow

Tools: ChatGPT, Claude, Figma Make, Figma AI, Cursor, Lovable, Perplexity, Gemini, NotebookLM.

AI has become an integrated part of my design practice. My use of AI has evolved through four stages, from improving communication to creating AI-powered design workflows.

1. Communication

I use AI daily to refine presentations, workshop outputs, design rationale, and stakeholder communications. It helps me turn complex ideas into clear narratives and spend more time driving decisions.

2. Research & Insights

AI is part of my research workflow, helping me analyse interview transcripts, identify patterns, cluster themes, and surface insights faster. This allows me to focus on validating findings and shaping product direction.

3. Prototyping

Using tools like Figma Make, Cursor, and Lovable, I quickly turn ideas into interactive prototypes. This helps me test concepts earlier, explore multiple directions, and present realistic experiences to stakeholders before development begins.

4. Agents & Automation

I am increasingly using Figma Agent and custom AI workflows as a design partner throughout my process. Rather than treating AI as a tool, I train it with project context, design principles, customer needs, and system constraints so it can operate like a junior designer alongside me.

This allows me to rapidly explore ideas, challenge assumptions, generate alternatives, and accelerate early-stage thinking while maintaining oversight and design quality.
